From banger to beauty: the lime green Porsche 914
A restored lime green sports car is in line for a classic car award.
Kevin Clarke, from Carshalton, has seen his Porsche 914 hand picked for the Meguiar's Club Showcase final at the 30th Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, held at Birmingham’s NEC from November 15-17.
Mr Clarke, who bought what was a banger in 2005, managed to keep all the originals panels for the restoration.
He said: "I'm really chuffed to have got as far as I have. It's a show car, yes, but I use it to get to every event I go to, it does 2,000-3,000 miles every year."
