I think it is important that thousands of kids went to one-off sessions run by Chelsea Football Foundation.

The problem is what is the lasting legacy and how were families involved.

As a medical doctor I know that public health changes take hard work and require all sections of the community to get and stay involved.

Whilst it is wonderful we are teaching kids good nutrition, it’s the adults who generally put the food in shopping basket.

I also know that a major issue we now have is around girls and young women and their body image.

We must question whether football clubs and the legacy of the WAGs culture is something we need in our schools here in Sutton.

I find it odd that £60,000 of taxpayer's money has been spent on work which is already being done by parents and staff in the very good 40+ primary and infants schools in Sutton.

In Sutton I know from my own state education that we have some of the best schools in the country and they all provide learning on health and nutrition.

I would like to see money going to groups working in Sutton who are working in partnership with all sections of our local community and understand what the local barriers are for making sure every child and family has good health and wellbeing.

Sutton should use our money to fund groups who use tried and tested methods to bring the community together to make sure that no child is left behind.
