Witnesses are being asked to come forward after a cyclist died yesterday following a collision with a bus.
The collision happened near East Croydon station on Tuesday at around midday.
Police, the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade all attended the scene which saw the junction of Cherry Orchard Road and Addiscombe Road closed for most of the afternoon.
The cyclist, a 43-year-old man was treated at the scene and taken to St George’s Hospital. He died at 1.22pm.
The bus stopped at the scene and the driver was not arrested.
A police spokesman said the cyclist has been identified but next of kin are still to be informed. A post-mortem examination and inquest are to be scheduled.
