Sam Beare Hospice has received a cheque from the Chessington Equestrian Centre for £1,069.
The cheque was presented on Wednesday, November 6, in a ceremony attended by riders from the centre and three of their horses.
The money was raised during an open day in September which included an auction of promises, a musical ride and a high jump competition, plus a hog roast.
The day was attended by more than 100 people and organised by Polly Bursby, who is the joint proprietor of the centre and whose mother was a resident at the hospice.
Polly said: “My mother received such wonderful care at Sam Beare, so it’s a cause close to my heart.”
