A cyclist killed after being hit by a bus in East Croydon has been named as Roger William De Klerk.
The 43-year-old was a IT consultant and lived in Vancouver Road, Forest Hill.
Emergency services were called to Addiscombe Road at the junction with Cherry Orchard Road, to reports of a collision between a number 410 bus and a cyclist on Tuesday, November 12.
Mr De Klerk who was in cardiac arrest, was treated at the scene and taken to St George's Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1.22pm.
The bus stopped at the scene and the driver was not arrest.
A post-mortem examination has taken place and gave the cause of death as compression of the head, neck and chest.
An inquest was been opened and adjourned this morning at Croydon Coroner's court.
Enquiries continue led by detectives from the Road Death Investigation Unit based at Catford.
