Businesses got the chance to talk shop with their MP and MEP as they took to the streets.
Carshalton and Wallington MP Tom Brake and MEP for London Sarah Ludford met Wallington business owners.
They also met members of the Federation of Small Businesses in the Duke’s Head pub to hear about their priorities.
Ms Ludford said: "It was very helpful to meet up with local business people to talk about some of the key issues they are facing.
"Small and medium businesses are vital as they provide two-thirds of all private sector jobs in Europe."
Issues businesses wanted to discuss included reducing EU red tape and encouraging local businesses’ growth and development.
Business owner Bob Toohig who runs Churchills, a furniture shop, spoke to the pair about business rates, shop rents, parking and other concerns.
Mr Brake said: "I was keen to listen to the issues of local business owners and will be following up a number of points raised, including publicising the availability of legal aid for mediation work and business rates."
