A cast of over 50 Oasis Academy Coulsdon students are performing in the school's production of 'Schools Will Rock You.'
Featuring the iconic songs of Queen, the story is set in the 23rd century. Earth has been renamed Planet Mall because everything is about selling products and systems, including pop music and is run by the corporation of Globalsoft, headed up by Killer Queen.
Young people have been brain-washed to believe in the corporation and everything it stands for; free will no longer exists.
However, a group of rebels who live in the underground, believe that there is still the ability to create original music and that someone will come to show them how.
Head of Drama Shaun Baker said: "Students have worked so hard learning their lines and dance routines.
"This week is the culmination of months of hard work and we are delighted to be performing to packed audiences for all three shows."
