Funnyman Tim Vine is to switch on Cheam's Christmas lights - but only after he's explained why the village is the centre of the universe.
Vine, who lives in Cheam, is to be the guest of honour as the Christmas lights are switched on this week.
Not only will be turn the lights on, he will also give a 15 minute presentation on why Cheam is the centre of the universe.
As well as the star turn, the event will feature a range of entertainment, stalls and children's fair rides.
Vine and his presenter brother Jeremy are both from the area and went to Epsom College.
