A 46-year-old man has been charged with attempting to rob a bank in Coulsdon with a fake gun on Wednesday.
Andrew Fernandez, of no fixed abode, is accused of plotting a raid on Lloyds Banks in Brighton Road at around 2.50pm on November 27.
Police today charged him with attempted robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court today.
