An 18-year-old man arrested in connection with a break-in at a newsagents has been released.

Several men stole a large quantity of cigarettes from Tattenham Way Newsagents, in Tattenham Way, on October 22.

Police are still appealing for information on the burglary which took place at about 11.30pm.

In October a neighbour, who declined to be named, said he saw men in dark hooded tops leave the newsagents after stealing hundreds of packets of cigarettes.

He said: "They broke in at the front and escaped through the alleyway."

The 18-year-old man has been released with no further action taken against him.

Detective Constable Steph Worrell said: "I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious either around the time of the offence or in the days leading up to it to contact officers with information."
