Morris men are inviting everyone to an ancient midwinter play during their 30th Boxing Day tour of Ewell Village.
Ewell St Mary’s Morris Men will once again process through the village and dance on Boxing Day.
They men will also perform a traditional midwinter folk play, known as a mummers' play, across the road from the Wheatsheaf pub.
The side takes Christmas tunes, such as Deck the Halls and the Holly and the Ivy, back to their roots as dance songs.
Morris man Ted Smith, who lives in Leatherhead, says: "The Christmas dances are to old carol tunes which used to be dance tunes.
"On Boxing Day a lot of people in the village come out and it's part of their Christmas now. A mummers' play is an ancient midwinter custom."
In 1979 a women's group volunteered their husbands for a mock morris dance at a fete and the men went on to form Ewell St Mary’s Morris Men.
