Crystal Palace may have lost to Chelsea at the weekend but a group of fans won the hearts of many after raising thousands for charity.
Mark Smith, who is the club’s academy partner, and Chris Powlson, Palace’s corporate manager, joined up with a number of other fans and The Crystals as they walked to Stamford Bridge from Selhurst Park.
An impressive £18,555 has been raised so far, with the money going to The Royal Marsden.
The group set off from Selhurst Park at 9am and arrived at Chelsea at about 1pm, having a few pit stops along the way.
Mr Smith, who has had a season ticket since he was seven years old, said the walk backs up his vision of raising money for charity through his association with the club.
