Children at Royal Russell try out the boat
A crafty student's creation has been helping youngsters learn to read.
Wallington High School A-level pupil Rachel Willis's designed and made a 'reading boat' for provide a fun setting for children to browse their books.
The project has been installed at Royal Russell School in Coombe Lane, South Croydon.
It earned Rachel an A* in her Resistant Materials A-level and has proved a hit with nursery and reception children at Royal Russell.
