Top comedy, music and ballroom dancing are coming to Croydon in the next few months, writes Andy Bloss.

Everyone’s diaries are probably fairly empty at the moment so here at Vibe we thought we would highlight some of the most eye-catching events so you don't miss them.

Last year saw Fairfield Halls welcome a host of top comedians and there are a lot more in store for 2014.

In February alone there are four top acts.

Comedian Jason Manford is bringing his show First World Problems to town on February 6.

It is packed to bursting with anecdotes, comical misunderstandings and banter, in which Manford tackles a wide range of everyday issues.

Just under a week later, stand-up comedian Mark Steel performs on February 12. Then on February 13 popular radio show I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue comes to town.

The official stage tour of the show features the legendary Barry Cryer, Graeme Garden and host Jack Dee.

The show has been going since 1972 and involves the players being given a range of silly things to do. It is billed as the antidote to panel games.

If that is not enough then on February 26 comedian Ed Byrne comes to town to perform the second leg of his new tour Roaring Forties.

The comedian talks about family life and everyday frustrations as a whole host of topics come in for a pasting as Ed casts a comic eye over his life.

As well as comedy there is some top music acts performing in 2014.

American band the Spin Doctors are performing on February 21 and will be performing some of their classics from the 90s.

The band are best known for their hits Two Princes and Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong.

In addition to that, rock band Toploader are also playing at Croydon’s biggest venue.

The Eastbourne band has had two albums that reached the top five in the UK chart. Their top single to date is their cover of King Harvest's song Dancing in the Moonlight which became a global hit.

Lastly, not one but two of Strictly Come Dancing’s stars are headlining shows.

Brendan Cole brings his License to Thrill show to Croydon on February 21 and Anton Du Beke performs his Broadway to Ballroom show on March 28.
