NHS England is looking to recruit new service providers to run four health centres in Croydon.
The body plans to implement new contracts at two New Addington practices as well as one in West Croydon and another in Waddon in October and November this year.
Parkway Health Centre, Fieldway Medical Centre, Thornton Road Surgery and Valley Park Surgery will all be run by new GP providers.
David Sturgeon, head of primary care for south London, said: "The new service specification will bring great benefits for local patients, including more flexibility in when and how they consult their GP, have tests or receive treatment.
"We are seeking to ensure continuity of care for patients through long term contracts."
