A teenager is celebrated being named the keenest kicker at her school.
Vavara Nicoloua, 15, of Old Coulsdon, was named student of the year 2013 by the bujitsu karate class at Oasis Academy Coulsdon
She has practiced the discipline for for four years and competed in inter-club competitions.
Andy Booth, associate principal at the Homefield Road academy, said: "We are all extremely proud of Vavara’s achievement; she applies grit and dedication to her sport and academic studies and her success is fully deserved."
