A teenager has pleaded not guilty to assault after a woman was struck on the head from behind with a bar.
The attack happened when the woman, in her 20s and from Epsom, was walking along Bracken Path, in Epsom, at 8pm on Monday.
She was approached from behind by a male and hit on the head with a bar. She suffered minor injuries to her forehead.
The 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons and was charged in connection with an assault, appeared at Guildford Youth Court, on Wednesday, January 22, where he pleaded not guilty to common assault.
He has been released on conditional bail and is next due to appear at South East Surrey Magistrates’ Court in May.
