Are you a motorist with access to a car who is willing to spare three hours a week helping vulnerable children and young people?
Staff at the NSPCC’s Croydon service centre are appealing for drivers to help transport youngsters to and from sessions at the charity’s premises.
Volunteers must have a full, clean driving licence, a road-worthy car and their own insurance.
Experience with young people is not essential, as full training and support will be given.
A CRB check will be required and petrol expenses will be paid.
NSPCC consultant social worker Jessica Colaiaco said: “Children and young people from across south London visit our centre on a regular basis and getting to and from the site can be difficult for some of them.
"By providing transport for them we can make the whole experience less stressful. Volunteer drivers sometimes make the difference between a child being able to access a service or not.”
