Works to recover a damaged crane on top of an 18 storey building in Croydon have finally been completed.
The work at the IYLO building in Wellesley Road was originally supposed to have been finished by last Wednesday.
But it took longer than expected and everything was cleared, and the roads were reopened, just before 5pm on Friday.
While the removal work was underway there were road closures at the northern end of Wellesley Road, on Station Road and St James Road both ways and on St James Road from Tavistock Road to the junction with Whitehorse Road.
The crane snapped when it was struck by lightning as high winds and heavy rain battered Croydon on the afternoon of January 25.
