A festival celebrating Croydon’s history and culture is back for its second year this summer.
Taking place in June the two week festival is packed with talks, tours, exhibitions, music, art and performance.
The festival is organised by The Whitgift Foundation and is supported by a host of organisations who want to bring Croydon’s past alive.
Members of the community will be able to tour some of the town’s most important historical buildings including Croydon Airport, Old Palace, Croydon Minster and the Whitgift Almhouses.
Martin Corney, Chief Executive to The Whitgift Foundation, said: ‘We are delighted to be organising the Croydon Heritage Festival for a second year running. We want to build on the success of last year’s event and provide a festival that the Croydon community can be proud of.
"As a charity that was established in Croydon more than 400 years ago, The Whitgift Foundation is not only passionate about the town’s fascinating heritage, we are committed to supporting the future success of the town."
