The A22 Godstone Road is still closed both ways between Kenley and Whyteleafe due to serious flooding.
Motorists travelling north are advised to divert onto the A25 at Godstone village towards Redhill.
Southbound traffic is advised to divert onto the A23 Brighton Road at Purley Cross towards Coulsdon and Redhill.
The flooding is because of the heavy rain over the past couple of months increasing the flow of the nearby Bourne river and saturating the ground.
Emergency services are working to clear the water and reopen the roads.
According to traffic reports, the A22 Godstone Road is closed both ways closed due to flooding between Hayes Lane (Kenley) and B270 / Whyteleafe Hill.
Local access is only from the Purley Cross end.
The bus route 407 is on diversion.
