A 51-YEAR-OLD male who was killed after being hit by a train in Brentwood on Monday morning has been named as Neil Roeper.
At about 7.40am, Mr Roeper was struck by a train near the Seven Arches Railway Bridge.
Paramedics confirmed he was dead at the scene.
An inquest into the death of the father-of-two from Hartswood Road, Brentwood, was opened today.
It was told during the hearing at County Hall in Chelmsford a post mortem had given the provisional cause of death as multiple injuries.
Coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray adjourned the hearing until July.
