A 25-year-old pedestrian is in a serious condition after being hit by a bus in Croydon town centre this afternoon.
The man has been taken to St George’s Hospital, Tooting, suffering from head and chest injuries.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to the scene in George Street at about 1.10pm.
Roads leading to and from East Croydon are closed in both directions.
This incident comes two weeks after a 16-year-old Coulsdon College student was hit by a bus in the same road.
