Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was stabbed in a fight in Croydon yesterday morning.

The 21-year-old man was found by emergency services in Donald Road at about 4am yesterday after a fight between a group of men in the street and in Canterbury Road.

He was suffering from stab wounds and was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Officers from Trident are investigating and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or with information to contact Detective Sergeant Ewan Robertson on 020 8247 4554 or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

Enquiries continue. There have been no arrests.
