Shoppers in the town centre had the opportunity to try something a little different for their lunch at the weekend.

An International Food Market was open for five days last week courtesy of Croydon BID.

Stalls included Spanish Paella, Jamaican Jerk Chicken and Italian confectionary.

Matthew Sims, Chief executive of Croydon BID, said: “The international food markets delivered by Croydon BID continue to add great value to the shopping experience.

“Traditionally, markets create a wonderful atmosphere with increased variety and our market is no different.

“The international market was a success on so many fronts and we will look at a number of ways in which we can make it even better than it already is.”
