Marie Cure launches its Great Daffodil Appeal at Selhurst Park
Selhurst Park was bathed in a sea of yellow daffodils on Saturday as Marie Curie Cancer Care launched its Great Daffodil Appeal.
Before the game against Southampton collectors were out in force encouraging fans to take home the famous daffodil pin in return for a small donation.
At half-time, Karen Green, volunteer press officer for Marie Curie, was joined on the pitch by the Crystals, radio DJ David Jensen and Palace legend David Payne for a photo call.
Karen Green, Volunteer said: “We need everyone in London and Surrey to donate and wear one of our daffodil pins during March.
“Every penny you give is vital in helping us support people with terminal illnesses in your area, and provide more of the free hands-on care and emotional support we’re renowned for.
“A big thank you goes to Crystal Palace for allowing us to launch its appeal for the tenth year running on a match day in March at half time.”
