Addiscombe Taekwon-Do ace Lisa Dennis hopes to smash record for smashing most roof tile with her bare hands
A former Taekwon-Do world champion is hoping to add another world title to her name – by smashing 1,000 clay roof tiles with her bare hands.
Lisa Dennis, of Dalmally Road, Addiscombe, must complete the feat in less than 90 seconds in order to achieve the Guinness world record.
The tiles will be arranged in 100 piles of ten at Crofton Halls in Orpington and Lisa will need to break around 16 per second.
BBC Breakfast will be filming today’s event and an adjudicator from Guinness World Records will be there so the 40-year-old will know instantly whether she has got the record.
She attempted the same record last August, alongside her fiancé Chris Pitman, who was vying for the male title.
Mr Pitman was successful and if Miss Dennis makes it this time they will call themselves the world’s most powerful couple.
She said: “I have won many national and international Taekwon-Do titles but gaining a Guinness World Record is my biggest challenge yet.
“It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but I am determined to be successful.”
