Two men have been charged in connection with the alleged sexual exploitation of a 14-year-old girl in Croydon.

Roland Tshibamba and Alma Sasi appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court this morning to answer the charges.

Tshibamba, aged 23, of Brigstock Road, Thornton Heath, has been charged with arranging or facilitating commission of a child sex offence.

And 24-year-old Sasi, of Pheasant Close, Purley, is charged with sexual activity with a child.

The sexual offences are alleged to have taken place in the Croydon area between June and November last year.

Both men were arrested on Wednesday at an address in Thornton Heath, along with an 18-year-old man.

They have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Kingston Crown Court on April 16.

The 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of drug offences and possession of an offensive weapon and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
