Last Saturday was Family Fun Day at Carshalton Athletic FC and it was good to see parents and children at the ground enjoying the occasion.  Sadly that same afternoon the first team lost 4-1 at home and, with 6 games still to be played, were relegated to Ryman League South, the lowest level that the Club has played at for over 40 years.

Outside the ground the supporters who are still banned from attending home games, together with many others who are appalled at what is going on at the Club, carried on with their regular peaceful protest to draw attention to what is happening at this once friendly, welcoming Club.  And once again the Club owner was conspicuous by his absence, having failed to attend a first team game since he stood down as self-appointed first team manager over 12 months ago.

The fact that the first team has been relegated is not the main issue.  All supporters will know that the exhilaration of success and the despair of failure are both part of the game, but the sadness is that the regime running the Club still refuse to give any reason for the ban on its own supporters and still refuse to engage or meet with anyone other than a few carefully selected members of the inner circle.
