Police have charged a 23-year-old with the murder of a man stabbed to death in South Croydon.

Ephraim Norman, 23, of Thornton Heath, is accused of killing a 52-year-old man on Thurday, night (April 24).

The man, who has yet to be formally identified, died after he was stabbed multiple times, a post-mortem examination found yesterday.

Mr Norman is due to appear in custody at Camberwell Green Magistrates’ Court later today.

Police arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of murder at the scene of the attack in Selsdon Park Road, near the junction with Pixton Way.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said officers were called to Selsdon Park Road at about 10.30pm on Thursday.

Police, the London Air Ambulance and London Ambulance Service paramedics attended and battled to save the man’s life at the roadside.

But he was pronounced dead at the scene.
