A mother-and-daughter singing duo will take to the stage and our television screens tonight to prove Britain - and Croydon - has got talent.

Kitty and Rosie will perform live on ITV1 as they look to wow the public and secure a place in the final of Simon Cowell's talent show.

Kitty Shott, 25, of Old Town, and mum Rosie Nicholas, 48, of Thornton Heath, made Britain's Got Talent semi-finals with a powerful rendition of Feeling Good at the weekend.

They won the approval of all of the show's judges and survived tough-talking Cowell's attempt to split them up to reach the penultimate stage.

Now the twosome are confident they can go all the way - despite never having sung on stage together before entering the competition.

Miss Shott said: "We have always sung together since I was a little girl, in the front room when she would put records on, so we thought we'd give it a go because people always tell us we can sing.

"Hopefully we can make everyone proud.

"I have always loved singing but always got too nervous. Now my mum has just given me the courage to get on stage and it is just so much more fun.

"She is my best friend and she's amazing."

Kittie and Rosie on Britain's Got Talent is on at 7.30pm on ITV1.
