A 23-year-old man from Thornton Heath has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing last month.

Daniel Agyeman is accused along with three other people of killing Ashley Latty, 25, outside a community centre in Dagenham on May 18.

Mr Latty, of Waltham Forest, died of multiple stab wounds following an altercation between two groups outside the Beaver Centre.

Mr Agymean appeared in custody at Highbury Magistrates Court on Saturday, May 31.

Police have so far charged three other people and made nine arrests in connection to the killing.

Nana Oppong, 33, of no fixed abode, Kestrel Daniel Dyer, 25, of Barking, and Adam Penny, 23, of Whitechapel, are all accused of murder and have been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on August 6.

A 24-year-old woman and 22-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and bailed until early July.

Three other men, aged 38, 31, and 29, have all been bailed pending until early July pending further enquiries.

Police were called to the scene of the killing at around 5:35am and Mr Latty was taken to an east London hospital where he was pronounced dead at 7:15am.
