Thousands of people across Croydon shared food, fun and friendship as they sat down with their neighbours for the annual Big Lunch.
While they were eating and chatting, an estimated four million other people across the country were doing the same at the event, which is now in its sixth year.
More than 40 of the Big Lunch street parties took place across the borough on Sunday, including one in Vicarage Road, Waddon.
Vicarage Road co-organiser Andrea Wallace said: “It’s not just about having lunch together, it’s also about developing a sense of community and being there for each other.
"It’s fantastic to think that so many people across the UK sat down together at Big Lunches.
“I would encourage everyone to get involved next year.”
