Firefighters freed a cat which had got a paw stuck in an iron gate this morning.
When the crew arrived in Norfolk Avenue, Sanderstead, at about 12.50am, the animal was bleeding from its paw and being held in a blanket by a passerby.
The firefighters cut part of the gate away to free the black and white cat and it then scampered off as soon as the passerby let it go.
