The World Food Market launched in Ruskin Square earlier this summer has been extended to run into next month.

The market, which includes Caribbean jerk street food, Italian hog roast, Mediterranean falafel, Thai street food and Pakistani kebabs among others, took over Platform in the Lansdowne Road site on June 19, and returned on July 10.

After proving a success, it will be held every Thursday until August 7 between 10am and 6pm.

Jason Margrave, development director at Stanhope plc, which is developing the site, said: "It is great to see the Food Market back throughout the summer offering Croydon people a diverse choice of food and drink. The feedback from local businesses and passers-by has been extremely positive."
