Five men have now been charged with murdering entrepreneur Afyon Saint-Hilaire in Downham, who was stabbed and then crashed his car.

The 22-year-old was found having crashed in Coniston Road on July 13 following reports of a fight outside McDonald’s in Old Bromley Road.

He later died at the scene. A post-mortem gave his cause of death as shock, haemorrhage and a stab wound to the leg.

Four men appeared at the Old Bailey on July 18 charged with murder and conspiracy to rob. 

Vishal Deowram, 18, and  Lance Slowley, 23, both from Thornton Heath, plus Marcus El-Alfy, 18, of Vincent Close, Bromley, and Jordache Smith-Challis, 19, of West Norwood, were all remanded in custody to appear on October 3.

Shyheim Green, 19, of no fixed abode, appeared on July 19 at Bromley Magistrates' Court on the same charges.

Mickyle Bromfield, 23, of no fixed abode, will appear at Croydon Crown Court on July 29 charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
