A 23-year-old man charged with attempted murder after two people were shot in a South Croydon flat is to appear at Croydon Crown Court.

Zarek McKoy will appear at the court on August 1 to answer the charge, along with two counts of wounding with intent.

McKoy, of Hambrook Road, South Norwood, is in custody ahead of his appearance at the court.

He was arrested after police were called to an address in Kingsdown Avenue in the early hours of July 6 and found two people who had sustained gunshot injuries.

The 19-year-old man and 20-year-old woman were taken to a south London hospital with non life threatening injuries.
