Buses could return to their old routes running over Spring Lane bridge in Woodside after works to increase the weight capacity were completed.

The services 130 and 312 have been on diversion since spring 2010 after weaknesses were discovered in the structure’s beams.

But after Transport for London (TfL) replaced the deck with one which can cope with weights of 40 tons the bridge has been reopened.

A consultation about whether the buses should return to their original routes ran from June 2 to July 7 and TfL is considering the responses before making a decision.
