Firefighters are tackling a serious house fire in Coulsdon

London Fire Brigade sent 20 firefighters and four engines to the blaze in Chaldon Way, Coulsdon, after being called at 3.44pm today.

A spokeswoman said one first-floor room had been completely consumed by flames. 

Fire crews from Croydon, Purley and Wallington are at the scene.

There are no reports of any casualties.
