A 79-year-old man has died in hospital after being hit by a car in Selsdon Park Road, Croydon this morning.
The incident happened near the junction with Farnborough Avenue at around 9am.
The man was rushed to hospital by the London Ambulance Service, where he died shortly after arrival.
Police officers encountered the aftermath of the incident while on routine patrol.
The driver of the Peugeot car stopped at the scene and has not been arrested.
