Detectives have arrested a man on suspicion of murder, two days after Adrian Young was stabbed to death in Thornton Heath.

The 26-year-old suspect was arrested last night and is in custody at a south London police station.

Mr Young, 24, was found at the edge of Whitehorse Road and Cromwell Road at about 4.45pm on Tuesday after police were called to reports of a fight.

He had been stabbed and was pronounced dead in hospital about two hours later.

A post-mortem examination held at St George's mortuary on Wednesday, August 27, gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the heart.
