A pensioner threatened to defecate in a betting shop, called an employee a "black bastard" and hit her with his walking stick after she stopped him from using the toilet.
Francis Lloyd, 69, told Tanya Sinclair she had "come over here on a banana boat" after she told him he could not use the toilet the Paddy Power shop in Westow Hill, Crystal Palace, because he was not a customer.
Lloyd, of Windmill Grove, Croydon, threatened to urinate and defecate in the shop before opening a fire door and setting off the fire alarm, Croydon Magistrates' Court heard today.
When Ms Sinclair went to close the door, Lloyd hit her on the back with his walking stick.
He pleaded guilty to racially aggravated common assault this morning, although he said he could not remember the incident, and will be sentenced on Tuesday.
