A Carshalton couple celebrated 60 years of marriage by enjoying a lunch with their friends and family.
Tony, 84, and Winnie Bubb, 79, tied the knot on September 25, 1954, having met at Bubby Smith's ball room.
The pair had been going there a while when one evening Winnie confided in her mother that there was a young man there who had caught her eye, only to be told that Tony had already told her brother he was keen on his sister.
The next time they were at the hall Tony asked Winnie to dance.
Mrs Bubb of Carshalton Place, said: "The anniversary was absolutely beautiful, we were overwhelmed.
"We had so many of our family with us, that is what we wanted, to have the family with us."
That family includes five children, 10 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
"It was absolutely lovely." she continued.
"Everybody was happy. It was a very beautiful day.
"We are still getting over it."
