A woman was treated for head injuries and taken to hospital after being hit by a car last night.
The pedestrian was walking along Purley Way just before 8pm when the collision happened.
She was treated for head injuries and knee pain by paramedics on the street at the junction with Mill Lane before being taken to Croydon University Hospital.
Police officers appeared to block the road to traffic while the emergency services dealt with it.
A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said they were there for about one hour and did not need to treat the driver of the car for any injuries.
