Police were called to Croydon University Hospital by medical staff
A man was shot in Thornton Heath yesterday.
Police were called by medical staff to Croydon University Hospital after the 31-year-old turned up with a gunshot wound to the back at around 5.30am.
It is believed he was shot in Brigstock Road.
The man has since been discharged from hospital.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police's Tridents gangs unit are investigating but no arrests have been made.
