A Croydon schoolgirl is set to make an appearance on BBC Four over the Christmas period putting a modern twist on science.
Sacha Tiotto-Smith, 14, attended demonstration-led lectures, presented by the Royal Institution and ran by Professor Danielle George, which discussed how inventions and technology are evolving in the 21st century on December 11.
She was shocked to be dragged into proceedings when Professor George asked to borrow her mobile as part of one demonstration involving fire escapes.
She said: "I was so shocked when I saw the word I wrote appear on the fire exit sign. I really didn’t think the experiment would work. I love science and the lecture was great."
The episode she is in will be screened on December 29 at 8pm.
