A drug dealer targeted in a major police operation in West Croydon to tackle drugs has been locked up for five years and four months.

Jason Kissi-Brown was sentenced at Croydon Crown Court yesterday after pleading guilty to three counts of supplying crack cocaine and three counts of supplying heroin on three separate occasions last November.

Kissi-Brown, 34, of Market Square, Bromley, was one of 16 people arrested in dawn raids at 15 addresses across south London on December 11.

The raids were the result of a 10-month covert operation involving police and Croydon Council to tackle drug dealing centred on London Road.

Detective Inspector Guy Carmichael, from Trident, who led the operation said: “This is the first result from the operation we carried out last month and I hope that it is the first of many.

"This should send a strong and clear message out to people that if you get involved in drug dealing, then we will target you and we will put you before the courts.

“Kissi-Brown now faces a considerable time behind bars and this is good news for the local community in the West Croydon and Broad Green area."

His finances will now be investigated by officers to see if they can confiscate any assets under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
