A man has been arrested in connection to the death of 15-year-old Rio Andrew following the illegal rave at a disused Royal Mail sorting office in East Croydon last summer.

A 41-year-old man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of corporate manslaughter, money laundering and fraud after the Metropolitan Police searched two addresses in Birmingham and Wolverhampton.

Rio collapsed at the rave, which saw 2,000 people swarm into East Croydon on June 14, and died two days later. A cause of death has not yet been established and an inquest not yet been opened.

Detectives from Croydon are continuing to investigate his death.

The 41-year-old, arrested in Birmingham, has been bailed to return to a south London police station in early April.

Police have so far arrested 29 people in connection to the rave, on suspicion of offences including violent disorder, money laundering, criminal damage, possession of class A drugs and affray.
