Police investigating a burglary at a dementia sufferer’s house in South Norwood have charged a second woman.

Josifina Thompson, of Christie Drive, Croydon, was arrested and charged on Saturday.

The 42-year-old appeared at Croydon Magistrates Court today and was remanded in custody to appear at Croydon Crown Court on February 9.

She is suspected of breaking into the home of an 80-year-old woman in Coe Avenue.

Also accused is Amanda Harwood, 42, of Selhurst Road, South Norwood.

She appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on January 21 to answer the charge of burglary before being bailed until February 4.

On that date Ms Harwood will appear at Croydon Crown Court.
