A group of third year fashion students from Epsom University for the Creative Arts have raised more than £2,500 on a crowdfunding website to help pay for their graduate catwalk show and exhibition.

As well as the online campaign, the enterprising students put on a wide variety of events to raise the money including bake sales, clothing and jumble sales, pub quizzes, raffles and club nights.

At the bake sale all the third year fashion students baked something and they managed to raise £300.

Another £200 was raised at a fabric and book sale, and a further £200 at a clothes sale.

One of the students, Faith Jolly, said that she was delighted that their fundraising efforts had paid off.

"Unfortunately hosting such a creative production costs a staggering amount due to covering the costs of venue, models, hair and make-up artists and photographers to name a few.

"We all feel very proud of raising the money and are extremely grateful to all those who have donated.

"It has been a lot of hard work on the course but hopefully all the hard work will pay off when we are able to see our work on the catwalk and share it with our family and friends and all those who have supported us throughout our three years at UCA."

The show will take place at the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, London, on Saturday, May 21.
